What do you do if you are combating competition within the spiritual community? No matter what field of work we go into, we are always faced with the challenges of competitiveness. I am of the opinion that women can be a bit more territorial with their practices in the spiritual community because let’s face it, working for yourself is hard, building up a client base and honing your skills is a lengthy process. We all get into some kind of healing work because we want to help others, so it’s ironic that in a tight nit community of wanting to help others, we can sometimes fall short of well, helping our fellow healers.
The act of protecting reflects the belief of “not enough”. One of the first things we learn, and one of the hardest things to overcome, is having that unwavering trust that whatever it is we ask for is coming to us. The moment we ask and express gratitude, the universe begins to shift to make room for our request. We are great by ourselves, but if we can overcome the obstacles to collaborate with others, we can do awesome things.
“I am, because we are.”
One of my favorite quotes is, “I am, because we are”. It is the Ubuntu philosophy, meaning a person is a person through other people. It strikes affirmation of one’s humanity through recognition of an ‘other’ in his or her uniqueness and difference. This idealism suggests to us that humanity is not embedded in my person solely as an individual; my humanity is co-substantively bestowed upon the other and me. Humanity is a quality we owe to each other. We create each other and need to sustain this otherness creation. And if we belong to each other, we participate in our creations: we are because you are, and since you are, definitely I am.
What this means is, when we are helping one another in any capacity, we are all benefited from it. There should be no feelings of competition. We are all under God’s wing, and just as he takes care of the birds, so too will he do for us. There IS enough, We can manifest what we need and more. Helping another does not empty our basket, in fact, I believe it makes room for more abundance!

We are entering a new time period where all of our thoughts can manifest easily. Those negative thoughts that we hold onto and believe in are keeping us from achieving the abundance that we desire. Teaming together through a network of like-minded people is more powerful.
May you produce amazing fruit and be known by your works. May you truly believe in abundance, not fear, which equals “lack”. Let us all strive to become a blessing to anyone who seeks out our assistance. Competition is not necessary in this spiritual work, you are good enough and your fruit speaks louder than your words ever will.
